PARTICIPATING UNIVERSITIES

YBHG. TAN SRI DR. MOHD IRWAN SERIGAR ABDULLAH
Ministry of Finance, Malaysia (MOF)

The Univeristy Entrepreneurship Masterclass is a different kind of an entrepreneurship program that exists today - it is designed to get first time entrepreneurs and university students with an idea to launch ventures within 3 months!

We want to create a community of futuristic entrepreneurs - entrepreneurs who create ventures that addresses the needs of a changing world. The program is designed and taught by true venture builders - experienced entrepreneurs, domain expects and investors who have been in their respective industries for many years and have launched, ran and invested in successful companies.

I believe entrepreneurship education must be scaled to reach as many young people as possible - we want a nation of innovators and problem solvers who think futuristically. I would like to thank the Ministry of Higher Education, Malaysia (HOHE) and the Global Entrepreneurship Movement (GEM) for supporting the program. I take this opportunity to congratulate the current cohort on their graduation and for launching their ventures.

I would also like to thank all the facilitators and mentors for their time and effort to coach and mentor the participants.

FUTURISE.

YBHG. TAN SRI DR. NOORUL AINUR MOHD NUR
Secretary General of Ministry of Higher Education, Malaysia (MOHE)

The entrepreneurship agenda is a key element in higher education as reflected in Malaysia Higher Education Blueprint 2015-2025. It's basic purpose is to change the mindset and attitude of students to be entrepreneurial and become job creators, not job seekers.

The Univeristy Entrepreneurship Masterclass program is most welcomed, aiming at helping university students launch sustainable and meaningful business ventures.

This program is in line with the Entrepreneurship Development Policy and Strategic Action Plan for Institutions of Higher Learning. This policy and action plan framework aims to achieve three (3) goals:

i) Produce graduates with entrepreneurial mindset and capabilities
ii) Increase the number of graduate entrepreneurs
iii) Nurture entrepreneurial academics and researchers

I take this opportunity to congratulate the participants of this cohort on not only successfully completing the program but also launching their ventures.
